City Guide to Bail Bonds Las Vegas

Las Vegas bail bonds are one of the larger revenue generating businesses in Nevada. Most people think of gambling and the casinos of course, but those casinos end up creating an environment that is great business for the bail bondsman.  That is because they are breeding grounds for the types of crimes that are eligible for bail.    This is the opposite that you might find in crime ridden cities where the crimes tend to be more serious and violent, often resulting  in ther defendant not being able to get bail set.

In Vegas the crimes tend to be less serious and are often related to drunken driving or public drunkeness.  Not to mention infractions that go hand in hand with those such as prostitution and disorderly conduct.

A lot of tourists don’t realize until they get there that most casinos offer free alcohol to gamblers.  In that situation, many take advantage of it, can’t say no, and end up getting involved in actions that they would never normally think about doing.  The Vegas jails are full every nght with tourists who grank a little oto much and made some serious errors in judgement.  Terrible for the tourists, but a financial bonanza for the bail bond agents.

Being a city that has so many businesses in bail bonds Las Vegas has a very streamlined process for setting and posting the bails.   They are highly regulated and can only charge you 15% of the total bail amount. So a $10,000 bond will cost you $1,500.  If you cannot afford it, the bondsman will often let you provide collateral, and in some caes they will actually give you a low interest loan to get your defendant out of the Clark County Detention Center.

Committing a crime, even while intoxicated can be serious, and having to come up with bail is certainly no fun.  Vegas is a town where you go to have fun, but like anywhere else, drink in moderation and avoid anything that can be perceived by the police as criminal activity.
