Or you can plus in a great set of wireless headphones for TV and enjoy the sound of your own voice all by yourself.

Since it began screening on our TVs, Smallville has bagged two coveted awards, the Emmy awards and the teen choice award. With Clark Kent in smallville, nothing bad can possibly happen without being contained. He is the modern superman. Even though he initially had some challenges accepting who he now is, Clark’s desire for a normal life can gradually be cited as progressive and exhilarating.

If movies were as creative as small ville, which has the ability to make science fiction seem so real and possible, then the entertainment industry would have surpassed all the expectations man has imposed on it.

For those who have missed out on these seasons, or want to own some copies for their home library where else can you get it fast and just like it is? Amazon has a great selection of DVDs as well as film box sets and smallville is just one of them. Don’t be told about movies again when you can easily own them.

Here’s the trouble many new guitarists face: while it’s quite easy to find a good guitar, and it’s very easy to find a cheap guitar, it is definitely no cakewalk to find a good but cheap guitar. That’s a big deal if you’re a young guitar player learning the ropes.  Most music stores are full of beautiful new instruments, the vast majority of which are out of reach for the younger player.

If you’re in that predicament, don’t worry. You can follow a few easy pointers to find a very solid guitar for relatively little money. It definitely needs to be comfortable, because you’re going to cozy up with it for many, many hours before you start to sound like a musician.

You also need to play any cheap electric guitar through the make and model amplifier you plan to use before you buy it.  If you already have an amp, you can bring it with you to the music store. Every combination of guitar and amplifier is a little bit different, so you need to be sure you’re satisfied with how they sound together before you open your pocketbook.

You don’t have to break your bank account in order to have a rewarding cheap guitar buying experience.

Music and Facebook, two of my biggest loves at the moment. Having said that however, this is probably true about thousands upon thousands of other people in the world too. It would make sense then that people would start listening to music based on what they’re read on Facebook, and even that musicians would get on Facebook to promote their music.

While this is happening more and more these days, some musicians still haven’t got on the whole Facebook thing. The thing is, many of them find it hard to promote their music on this platform as it rarely feels like they’re getting any where. Over the last few years musicians have been feed the ‘add 1000 ‘fans’ to appear popular music strategy. This however is a ineffective strategy, and will get you no more real fans then if you were to perform in a empty room.

The thing is, people on Facebook are real people. They haven’t got another motive to ‘like’ your Facebook fan page, if they don’t want like you or don’t want to receive communication from you they simply won’t add you. This means you’ve got to find out what real people want, and how you appeal to it. Look online for a Facebook guide. Facebook marketing doesn’t come natural to a lot of us, but it can be learnt. You don’t simply add thousands of people and tell them to listen to your music, it’s a lot more based on traditional marketing techniques and practices.

So how much of your time should be focused on using Facebook to your advantage? Well to be honest, if you still haven’t got a fan base then this should be used much at all. You should set up your page and give the odd update every few days, but more time should be focused on getting real world exposure which will lead to more people using your music facebook page.

Guitar picks are an indispensable tool for most players of steel strings guitars. These small, simple and inexpensive little things can make a dramatic difference to your tone quality and the ease with which you play, so it’s well worth experimenting with different guitar pick materials shapes and sizes to find the perfect pick(s) for you.

Fortunately, plectrums are among the cheapest guitar accessories out there, so even the most cash-strapped musician can afford to try out different types. Let’s look at some of these.

First of all, there are plastic picks – these are the most familiar type to most people. Celluloid picks are especially common, and are available in a wide range of designs and thicknesses. They’re very cheap, and can produce a nice sound.

However, it’s also worth experimenting with more unusual pick types. These include metal guitar picks, which can produce a very rich, loud tone. Some guitarists use metal coins as picks, but you can get them specially made in the more normal pick shapes too. Just be aware that metal picks can be hard on the strings, and can easily cause damage to the body of the instrument if you’re careless when using them.

Stone guitar picks are another more unusual option. These are often made from very attractive looking gemstones, such as agates, and as such they are decorative as well as functional, and make a great gift for any guitarist. Stone picks can produce an excellent tone, but they can also be hard on the strings. These picks aren’t as widely available as plastic and metal picks, but a quick Google search will throw up a few sites with a nice range of different stones and designs.

Fingerpicks are another option – unlike normal picks, these fit over the fingers and thumb, and are good for playing fingerstyle music. They can take a bit of getting used to though.

So, whatever your musical tastes and preferences, there’s a pick type to suit.

Guitar playing is a very creative way of expressing yourself through music.
