3.  Know what you will not tolerate and do not buy this “stuff” —  You should have a pretty good feel for what you can personally tolerate as far a style and quality.  If you can handle a low end curtain to get your windows covered, this is great.  You can go to WalMart.  If this is just not going to be acceptable to you, do not even go there, as it will be a waste of your time.

If you know what you need for your window treatments, you will do a much better job in buying ready made curtains.  Know what you need and what your tastes will tolerate, and you will make your purchasing process a much more efficient task.
