A lot of carpet experts recommend using white and clean cloth as a material to dab on excess moisture or liquid over the affected surfaces. The rationale of this is that white cloths prevent carpet discoloration because at times color transfer can occur when using colored cloths. White and clean cloths also produce sleek finish that is why this is a rule applied whenever cleaning carpet stains. When engaging with this stain removal project, you must gather several pieces of this kind of cloth and seep lots of moisture with the processes involved.
After removing large quantities of tea spillage on the carpeted floor, make a solution to remove the stains by mixing half cup of white vinegar with one cup water. Pour this solution on the tea stained areas. Then, dab more liquid using the cloths prepared and repeat this step until you can absorb majority of the tea stains. To eliminate vinegar scent in the room, you can spray room deodorizer to achieve that fresh and clean smell.
However, when vinegar solution did not completely remove the tea stains, make another solution out from a teaspoon of dish detergent with a cup of warm water and pour over the affected carpet areas. Dab another cloth over the spot with the detergent solution until soapy residues are removed. To rinse the cleaned surface, pour clean water and let the surface dry completely.
To reinforce carpet stain removal, you can also prepare a solution out from a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with a cup of warm water. Apply this over the stained area and dab until all stains are removed. Then, always dry the carpet surface completely by vacuuming or resting an absorbent cloth weighted with a heavy object on top and leave this overnight.
